Cloverlily Handmade Leather Double Camera Harness | Dark Brown
Cloverlily Hand Crafted Leather Dual Camera Harness in Dark Brown
Say Hello to the most popular of the double harnesses, the timeless and stylish Cloverlily Dark brown camera harness. It goes with any outfit and screams class, dark enough to help you blend in while cool enough to keep you standing out.
Hand cut and crafted in Kent, England. Using traditional techniques and only the finest leather, fixings and finishes. Made entirely to order, to fit you like a glove.
How to wear
Designed to keep your cameras close to your hands at all times, so you dont miss a shot. Allowing you to shoot with two cameras in comfort all day.
It couldn't be easier to put on, just loop through the sliders, then fix the belt point into the opposite buckle and fix so the cameras roughly sit around your hips (or however you find comfortable! you do you).
Check out this interview with friend of the brand Gary Jude of Jude Photography for more info.
What its Made of
The leather used is of the highest standard, tanned in a hand picked tannery in Italy, The leather chosen will generate a unique patina as it ages. Learn more about my choice of leather and why it is important.
Our camera Straps are made of natural vegetable tanned leather, so require some periodic TLC. Don't sweat! All the info you need to know can be found in our faq and care guide.
Also note, I finish and slick the flesh side and edges unlike most other harnesses out there, this removes the "furry" feel and gives it a smoother feel that wont bleed dye onto your clothes.
Versions
You only have to choose if you want the Bull fixing or the Oxen - to put it simply the Bull is designed for Heavier or more expensive rigs, it has a quick release locking mechanism meaning you can go from shooting on the harness to offhand at the pull of a ring. The Oxen is for film and less expensive mirrorless rigs. Learn more about the fixing choices here.
Either way its a heavy duty harness for professionals and amateurs alike, ideal for wedding or event photographers
The extra straps come as standard and are handy leather straps that can be used either to hang a third camera from the chest d rings or as safety straps that connect to the side lug mount, for those who require a bit more added security, extra ones of these can be purchased separately here.
These Double Harnesses are made to order, so dont forget to add your height and build/teeshirt size here or in the basket.
Can you wear one camera with a double harness?
Not only is this a multi camera strap, you can use it with one! Check out this interview with Shianne who does this by having the camera hang on her dominant side, it looks great!

How long will my order Take?
The Saying Goes, good things come to those who wait.
You are not ordering from Amazon here! These are premium slow made leather goods, made to order. Using traditonal techniques.
Typical turn around is 2-3 working days for small items and straps and 2-5 working days for slings and harnesses. Trust me, they are worth the wait.
If youre in a pinch. just fire me off an email I may be able to rush manufacture for a £10 rushed order charge
Delivery
For Harnesses delivery comes in two flavours, Express and Regular. Express is a 24 hour service and Regular is a 48 hour service, these times are upon completion of manufacture so it all depends on how impatient you are!
For small items it is sent 1st class large letter.
Who doesnt love a bit of TLC?
For conditioning and refinishing get yourself a good quality leather wax or oil (for example Terrago Mink Oil). Using a soft, clean cloth apply a pea sized bit of oil to the strap working it in on the skin side (outside) only, rub it in thoroughly and leave it to dry, removing excess that doesn't soak in. Apply a second coat if you feel it needs it, and you're done.
Easy peasy right?
Breaking in
Because of the use of vegetable tanned leather, all my straps and harnesses will mould to your shape and fit like a glove. The only way to get through this breaking in period is to... You guessed it. Wear it!
Patina Rushing/Colour Deepening
If you want to rush the development of the leathers patina or want to deepen the pieces colour, a nifty hack is to leave your strap or harness outside in the sun. Do ensure you do this only when there is no rain forecast, the straps are shower resistant but it will not like a downpour.
